Commented 2nd Casa in La Marina 2014-02-18 10:38:13 UTC

Good idea !

Commented Poppy in La Marina 2014-02-18 16:28:48 UTC

I agree too

Commented nikkimunday in La Marina 2014-02-18 18:05:28 UTC

I don't agree, its what the forum is for , to provide information, not some of the rubbish that is posted on here. You cant do right for doing wrong, if a bar has an event and doesn't tell anyone, then you get WHY didn't you advertise it. If you put it on here that's wrong also. If you don't like it don't read it.

Commented [email protected] in La Marina 2014-02-19 12:58:53 UTC

Make you right jescapes, Although at the moment the forum looks like adverts for bars and restaurants, In my opinion that is because no one else has anything to say, if and when they do it will break up the bar adverts, and everyone will be happy, or as you say no one forces you to read any comments on this forum, If you don't like what is said, Don't read it

Commented Alan in La Marina 2014-02-19 13:27:50 UTC

Sorry guys but I do not agree. I am obviously the only one who is fed up getting emails telling me there is a new posting only to log on and find it is yet another event which should be advertised as such. There is after all an events section so why not use it. Pointless having it otherwise.

Commented nikkimunday in La Marina 2014-02-19 13:31:47 UTC

Keep posting everyone. I agree with ALL postings. It lets us all know what is going on with out searching for it. If one does not want to receive emails you can disconnect yourself from this in your own settings. See you soon Jes & Co.

Commented 1st Call Property Services SL in La Marina 2014-02-19 13:36:04 UTC

You're missing the point - totally. Yes, I do want to receive emails telling me a new posting has been made. I just would like them to be of the type that are of interest, not constant advertising. That is NOT what is was meant for. Alternatively, do away with the Events section. If nobody is going to use it, why have it!

Commented nikkimunday in La Marina 2014-02-19 13:40:15 UTC

nickymunday,
I thought that you only get an e-mail from asl if you have commented on a certain link, if you have not made a comment you will not be e-mailed, if you have made a comment but don't want to know when somebody has added a comment to that link, just un tick the box. Or ask asl to not tick you box automatically they wont do it ,but at least you can have the satisfaction of knowing that asl are to blame for you getting e-mails

Commented Alan in La Marina 2014-02-19 15:56:53 UTC

As we are not here on the time, the first thing I do when I get here is to look on this Spanish Life forum for La Marina Urb to find out what is going on in the different bars and restaurants, and what charity events are taking place, so please everyone carry on posting please.

p.s. underneath this posting if I do not want to get notice of other replies, I can just untick the box where is says 'Notify me if a further comment is added'.

Commented Laura Reynolds in La Marina 2014-02-19 16:22:06 UTC

I have to wonder if some of these comments are from clients who do not venture out.

Commented 1st Call Property Services SL in La Marina 2014-02-19 16:25:04 UTC

Could be they just like moaning.

Commented marko in Quesada 2014-02-19 17:18:50 UTC

But then why have an "Events section" ? if you need to know if something is going on its there, no need to search for it or why not do away with it all together ?

Commented 2nd Casa in La Marina 2014-02-19 17:24:34 UTC

I agree, why bother.

Commented marko in Quesada 2014-02-19 17:32:02 UTC

One of the benefits of adding an event to the events calendar is that it is also posted on Facebook and is shared by many thousands of people.
By only adding it to the wall you miss out on a lot of business.

Well Done Aloha Bar on putting some of your special evenings in the **Events** Section.

As everyone is having an opinion on here I will have one. I see no reason at all why any establishment cannot advertise their special day or evening events on main page. BUT, also to put it in the Events Section. I know a lot of people who do click into the *Events* section where quite a few restaurants etc do advertise, so then can have a selection to choose from on the evenings they wish to go out somewhere.

When you post it on the actual forum it will eventually go off the front page to Page 2, 3 etc but if you put it in the *Events* it will be there for the whole month - so put it on both.

Commented Carol in La Marina 2014-02-19 18:20:40 UTC

Carry on the postings in this section all you bars and restaurants. Most people are happy not to have to "click-about". If the likes of" sikkimundane" don't like it too bad, she can go and find something else to disorganise. Put up or shut-up or untick "notify me" box.
On a more forum type posting does anyone know what Councillor Jeff has usefully achieved for his constituents this month........last month.........okay then, last year? Deafening silence!
Really earning his wage rises isn't he?

Hello can you English where is the bar. I only know the bar called final whistle. Are you near that??
If I drive on n332 take San fulgencia exit, is it correct ?? Or do I take la marina exit ?? Thanks. Maggie from playa FLAMENCA area.

Commented Maggie Mahony in Playa Flamenca 2014-02-20 08:29:52 UTC

Yes I agree put it o every thing where possible. I opened this site for the first time in a year, and the ad for the sax player was first thing I saw. I am delighted. I didn't think to go on events because I wasn't looking for an event, but delighted I find that gig by chance. And never somewhere to bring my friend who is on holiday and loves Jazz. Just have to find my way from torrevieja. Waiting on instructions from anyone willing to explain to me how to get there to the bar aloha. Thanks. I too have a bar called Pablos international bar in PLAYA FLAMENCA, so I understand how important to have everything I do, advertised everywhere. Maggie

Hi Maggie
From the 332 take the exit marked San Fulgencio Norte, then at first roundabout take 1st exit (Lidls) will be on your left. then straight on for about one Kilometre and after you start going over road humps look for signs on street corners on your right, when you see the Consume ones, and follow to consume area, At consume car park Aloha is close to Final Whistle

Commented Alan in La Marina 2014-02-20 09:12:31 UTC

Thank you for your comments. Aloha bar is on Consum square and next door to the final whistle, Paul next plays on the 5th of March, We had a great night of music and dancing last night. We always try and let people know whats going on (as other bars do).

Have to agree with ASL but then again some people are rather THICK!!!

Commented Poppy in La Marina 2014-02-20 10:34:51 UTC
